Our story

In Safe Hands is a charity set up by Magdalena Fijołek, whose little son Dawid has become the first child to benfit from the charity. Shortly after his birth it turned out that Dawid was born without his right arm and with a seriously defected left arm. His parents were eager to find children suffering from similar defects. They wanted to find out as much as possible about the arm defect and about how people suffering from it function on a daily basis. Their appeal posted on social media evoked a huge response. Only then did they realize how many children suffer from limb defects and that these children and their families are in need of considerable support. It was then that they came up with the idea of setting up a charity for children with limb defects. The idea blossomed and the charity was established to help Dawid and other children with similar disabilities.

Our mission

Our charity sets out to help children with limb defects. We also offer assistance to their parents and guardians, who often need support as well. Our charity wishes to lend a helping hand to children with limb defects and to their guardians. Since the day it was founded, the charity has attracted the attention of many people who have pledged their support to our mission. This is why we continue our charitable work with such passion and determination.

What can you do to help?

We invite all people of good will who would like to support our cause. There are plenty of ways you can make a difference. Every help we can get, financial or voluntary, counts. Sometimes all it takes is a word-of-mouth recommendation or telling your friends and family about our charity. Together we can do more. It is the people around us that contribute to the success of our charity. We can become the proverbial helping hand for those who need it most.

Get involved, join us and help those in need!
